#Our vision
Everyone should have a helper for everyday life that speaks the way they speak, and that they are in control of.
#Why we are building it
Most AI today is made for people who type fluently in English. That leaves out most of the world: people who think in Hindi, Bhojpuri, Tamil or Bengali, parents who are not comfortable with screens, grandparents, students preparing for an exam with no one to ask.
Everyday life is where help is needed most: a bill that is due, a form to fill, a child's exam, a medicine to take on time, a goal that keeps slipping. A good helper does not need to be clever about everything. It needs to be there, to understand you, and to remind you gently.
#What we believe
- Language is access. If it does not speak your language, it is not for you. We add a language only after people who speak it have checked it.
- You are in control. You tell Jambu what to keep. You can see it, change it, and delete it. It is not watching you.
- Families matter. Children get the help they need with a parent in charge. Parents and grandparents are looked after too.
- Calm, not noisy. A good reminder arrives once, at the right time. Jambu should never nag.
- Honest about limits. Warm in tone, truthful about what it can and cannot do. It is not a doctor, a lawyer or a financial adviser, and it never moves your money.
- Safety is never locked. Care that protects people does not sit behind a paywall.
#Where it is going
We are starting in India, with Hindi and English, and growing to the languages people actually speak at home. Next come voice, so people who do not type can use Jambu with their voice, and more tools for families, students and working people. We will say what works today and mark what is still coming.
#Who is behind it
Jambu is built by Jambavanta. You can reach the team through the contact page. Read our story for why we started and where the name comes from, or What is Jambu? for the short version.
